James O’Shea was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1985. After training with, and then serving as a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills in the City of London, he joined Clyde & Co London, as a partner in 1998, relocating to Clydes’ Dubai office in 2008. He moved to Qatar and joined Hassan Al Khater Law Office as a Senior Legal Consultant in 2016.
James is a corporate commercial lawyer who has 30 years’ experience of corporate and general legal advice, in the UK and in the region, for a global client base, from company formation through to cross-border joint ventures; finance raising; mergers and acquisitions (again including on a cross-border basis); distribution; employment law; board room disputes; licensing agreements; structured finance; government regulation and disciplinary proceedings; and bank guarantees and letters of credit.
